Creating Healthy Habits: Women-Only Accountability Group: Have the past six months been a challenge for your personal health and well-being? Are you feeling that the stress from daily life has skyrocketed? Do you find yourself saying “I want to get in shape, but I have no idea where to start?” If so, the YMCA’s new six-week accountability group can offer you support in making healthy food choices, finding an exercise routine you love, finding time for “me time” on a daily basis, incorporating ways to reduce stress and more. Offered on Tuesdays from Oct. 20 through Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. $57 for YMCA members; $77 for non-members. Personal or Small Group Training: Certified personal trainers design a personalized program to meet your specific goals, whether it be weight loss, muscle gain, general fitness or to change up your normal workout routine. Better Sleep: A Holistic Approach: This four-part workshop, led by YMCA yoga instructor Barbara Polowy, will share three tools to improve sleep quality and duration: gentle stretching to release tension in the body, breathing practices to quiet the nervous system, and guided relaxation to reduce stress and encourage deep rest in body and mind. Polowy will discuss behaviors known to affect sleep and teach participants to track and analyze their own sleep patterns. Prior to the start of the program, Polowy will be in touch for an initial intake assessment. Zoom information will be emailed once you register. Held on Mondays from Oct. 26 to Nov. 16 via Zoom. $40 for YMCA members; $60 for non-members.
