High fat vs High protein: Which low-carb diet is better for weight loss?

The study was carried out in two phases on 57 obese men and women, all between the age of 40 to 60. The volunteers were randomly divided into two groups. One group was asked to consume 34 per cent protein with 37 per cent carbs, while the other group was on 45 per cent fat and the same amount of carbs. After 52 weeks of extensive study, it was found that both groups of people were able to lose 5 to 8 per cent weight and their blood pressure, blood sugar, insulin, and cholesterol levels were the same across both groups.
