The next morning, after Diwali celebrations, is, therefore, perhaps the best time for some damage control. Here is a detox morning drink you can make quickly to ensure your body is healthy. Ingredients in this drink will help to boost metabolism, aid digestion, and will also help to clean your lungs and keep them safe from the problem of air pollution, another health woe during the Diwali celebrations.

Cinnamon and Turmeric detox
¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon honey
¼ inch piece of ginger, grated
½ teaspoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon mulethi powder
3-4 leaves of holy basil
1 cup of water
Heat 1 cup water in a pan.
Add grated ginger and torn pieces of holy basil into it, and let it simmer.
When the water starts to boil, add spices such as mulethi, cinnamon, turmeric.
Bring to a boil, and turn the burner off.
Strain into a cup.
Add honey and lemon juice.
