Wanting something is easy, but maintaining it is harder, and challenging in the long run. But, I dream that 10 years down the line, I am still able to work out 5-6 days a week, do cardio at home if I skip the gym and eat clean. Lastly, be consistent and mindful about my lifestyle.
What are the lifestyle changes you made?
Avoiding refined flour, refined sugar, processed food items, and anything deep-fried helped majorly in my transformation. I always read labels and usually buy cold-pressed oils (coconut/groundnut/olive) for cooking my meals. I eat a serving of any seasonal fruit between my meals and a handful of nuts as my evening snack.
What was the lowest point for you?
There were times I was not allowed to pose with my friends when they were being clicked. Their photographs got ruined when I was a part of it. There were times when I looked at myself in the mirror, knew that I had put on quite a lot of weight, but also felt like this couldn’t be undone. Even after joining the gym, I would still eat junk from outside, I would climb almost a hundred stairs to get to the gym, and it would take 15 mins for me to catch my breath.
